There are two wonderful state wetland parks hidden amongst the home developments in Boynton Beach, Wakodahatchee Wetlands and Green Cay Wetlands. We went for a short walk, just before sunset when many of the various birds fly in for the night. It's a spectacular show of Ibis, Herons, Egrets, Anhingas, Ducks and many others. Right now it's spring time and mating season is in full swing. This is the best chance to see all the birds in their full beauty as they display their feathers to attract that special mate. Several occupied nests could be spotted and once in a while babies could be spotted.Great White Egret attempting to attract a mate. No, he's not interested in the Great Blue heron, on the video below you'll catch a glimpse of who's watching just behind. His feathers are displayed while he dances and shows his magnificience.
