Friday March 19th we weighed anchor early in the morning and headed for Harborage Marina. Our day began with hearing that the Parker bridge which was undergoing re-construction would be restricted to traffic because there were going to be underwater divers. Well we made it before the restrictions. Our trip to Stuart was delightful, we saw dolphins swimming along with us and lots of wildlife.

We arrived back at the Harborage and tied up and began our work on the Summer Wind. Our window for getting the repairs was only 10 days and we wanted to make sure that all would be fixed before we left. We called the mechanic to let him know we were back and ready to begin the holding tank. For those that aren't into holding tanks, we'll leave out the information. Needless to say we were thrilled with the installation but discovered other minor things that needed to be replaced. After the repairs, came the maintenance, we pulled out the boat soap, bar keepers friend and the polish. We made the Summer Wind shine! (Although we are watching our moustache returning!)
All was not work and repairs, we packed in a great deal of fun with many people. There was an Art Festival in Stuart, where we walked our feet off. Our friends Mick and Sue came to the Summer Wind and then we enjoyed a lovely lunch. We enjoyed our last Thursday night meet and greet with other cruisers. Believe it or not we met two other Heritage East cruisers the day before we were about to leave.

Our stay at the Harborage ended on April 1, this marks our first day of really heading north for home. Our friends Marlene and Robert came to join us for a day cruise to Vero Beach. We enjoyed a light breakfast on board and cruised in sunny, warm weather. We spent two days at Vero, our first night we went to dinner with Marlene, Robert and Karen and Roger from m/v Karen Anne. Our second day we walked the beach and enjoyed a lovely lunch at Marlene's. You have to someday try Marlene's Pizza it's wonderful!! Thanks guys we had a marvellous time with you!!
